To promote archeological and historical research concerning the artifacts,
customs, beliefs and other aspects of the lives and cultures of earlier
occupants of New York State.
To preserve archeological sites in cooperation with the NYSAA and
with other archaeological institutions.
To maintain sympathetic appreciation of the history of the American
Indian, particularly of those Native Americans aboriginal to New York
State.
To encourage the use of accepted methods of archeological research;
and to publish papers covering the results of field work of members
or other matters within the purview of the Chapter.
To help secure legislation for anthropological, archeological or
historical purposes.
